The only at-home chai latte recipe you'll ever need

It's no secret that I love coffee. If you know me at all or follow me on Instagram, you know I love to try new craft coffee shops wherever I am, whether it be in San Francisco or on a trip. I'm not much of a tea drinker unless it's sweet tea or chai lattes, and even then I'm pretty picky.

However, I have found the absolute best chai mix ever. I love creamy chai more so than spicy chai, so when I tried White Rock Coffee's (Dallas) chai, I instantly fell in love. It pained me to move away from my daily coffee stop (sometimes twice daily), but I was so excited to learn that I could take a little piece of WRC with me; you can order their chai mix online!

Today I thought I'd share my chai recipe with you. It's super easy, and all you need is the chai mix, a milk steamer/frother and cinnamon. If you don't have a steamer or frother, you can find them super cheap at many different stores, including Target for only $19.99.

Step 1: Add five tablespoons of chai mix to your coffee mug. I like my chai lattes very sweet and creamy, but you can always add fewer tablespoons if five makes it too sweet for you.

Step 2: Froth the milk straight into your mug. This stage will vary based on your frother. I usually aim for about half a mug of milk.

Step 3: Stir the milk and mix together.

Step 4: Top with cinnamon and you're done!

See? Super easy. If you want a coffee kick to it, add one shot of espresso to make it a dirty chai. I especially love this as an iced drink; to make it an iced chai, all you do is mix the milk and chai in a blender, and then serve over ice.

If you're in Dallas, do yourself a favor and head over to White Rock Coffee off Northwest Highway, Abrams or in Children's Health. You'll be glad you did!

I'd love to hear your thoughts if you try this out! Drop me a comment and let me know.
